How to Install Python on Windows in a Specific Directory.Let’s begin by downloading the Python installer and installing it on your personal computer.

Step 1.Download Python in your System

To get the most recent version of Python for your computer system, you must first browse the official Python website. There, you can get the most recent version of Python for use with Windows.

To begin downloading Python’s most recent version to Windows, click on the given button.

Step 2 .For installation in a particular directory location, select “Customize Installation.”

After installing the most recent Python setup on your machine. To begin installing Python, double-click the Python setup installer.

To begin, choose the checkbox next to the words “Add Python 3.7 to PATH.” The Python Path is added to your computer system using this technique.

The next step is to choose the link option labelled “Customize Installation” in order to instal Python at a particular location on the computer system. This begins the installation of Python in the designated directory on your computer system.

Step 3.Choose Extra Features

You will be presented with a screen in this stage that allows you to choose and instal different optional Python features. You can leave them as is without checking any boxes.

To proceed to the following stage, simply click the “Next” button.

Step 4.Optional features and custom instal locations

You can choose more complex options and specify the necessary directory path where you wish to instal Python in this stage.

Once you’ve finished choosing your preferred advanced option, click the “Browse” button to choose the location where you wish to instal Python.

The installation directory is located in the Python folder on the C:/ drive, as shown in the image up above. After deciding on a location, click “Install” to begin the Python installation process.

You need to wait until the setup is finished.

Step 5.The Installation Has Been Successful.

As soon as the installation process is finished. A notification stating “Setup was successful” will appear after Python’s installation is complete.

How to Determine Whether Python Is Installed

Use the keyboard shortcut “window+R” to launch the command prompt before checking to determine if Python is installed or not. The command prompt will then appear when you type “cmd,” as shown in the image below.

The command prompt might have the location (C:UsersName >) .As you have your Python installed at C::/Python. Using the ‘cd’ command, you must change the directory location to this directory.

You must use the ‘cd..’ command as shown below to return to the parent directory C:/:

C:\Users\Roshan Singh Parihar>cd..

To transfer to the default location C:/, the command “cd..” is used twice in the aforementioned commands.
